Thursday, October 12th will be the day you arrive in Fruita, CO, just in time for an included dinner and a bonfire. The warm glow of the bonfire will set the tone for the adventures that lie ahead.

On Friday, October 13th, your day will begin with a delightful homemade breakfast, providing the energy you need for an exciting day. You'll embark on a red rock desert hike that promises breathtaking views of the Colorado River adorned in its vibrant fall colors. After the hike, you'll set out on a scenic drive to your lodging in the Cortez/Dolores area, where you'll prepare for a celestial spectacle: the eclipse. Your quest will also take you in search of Native American ruins, and later in the evening, you'll indulge in dark skies star viewing, gazing at the cosmos with wonder.

As Saturday, October 14th dawns, you'll rise early, filled with anticipation to witness the eclipse at 10 a.m. as it reaches its full path of annularity. The moon will gracefully obscure the sun, casting an enchanting darkness over the landscape, a celestial phenomenon that will leave you in awe. Following this extraordinary event, your day will continue with an exploration of Mesa Verde, where you'll delve into the history of the ancestral Puebloans, wandering through ancient cliff dwellings and connecting with the past.

On Sunday, October 15th, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the area's natural beauty and explore its captivating ruins. You can choose to return home, cherishing the unforgettable memories you've made, or extend your stay to further explore nearby destinations such as Durango, Telluride, Aspen, or Moab. These vibrant locales will offer you new adventures and experiences, ensuring that your curiosity and love for exploration continue to thrive in this remarkable corner of the world.
